Albinism Training of Trainers Sessions 2020

Amid the Corona pandemic, there has been a rise in verbal attacks and stigmatization of persons with albinism. Some have been branded “Corona” or “Covid-19” to scapegoat them for the pandemic. (https://bit.ly/3kgUMNW)

To counter this delusion and other misconceptions surrounding the albinism condition, Making More Health in collaboration with our partners’ Positive Exposure Kenya and GAASP will hold a three-part series of Training of Trainers with key opinion shapers in Bungoma.

The information session will run from the 16th to the 18th of September between 10.00 – 13.30hrs. In line with the COVID-19 regulations of social distancing, we will utilize a hybrid approach by combining both an online and physical approach for this forum. Those trained will receive an information package to assist them in raising awareness about the condition while serving as ambassadors who champion for the protection of persons with albinism in the community. Stay tuned to find out more about the outcome of the training.
